Wisconsin Cooperative Helps Farmers Start Businesses 9/13/2013: The southern Wisconsin cooperative Badgerland Financial has relaunched its 'Beginning with Badgerland' initiative, open to any beginning farmer in Badgerland Financial's service area. Farm Aid Introduces Beginning Farmers Web Page Farm Aid has launched a new Beginning Farmers page on its website. The page offers statistics that underline the importance of a new generation of beginning farmers, links to Farm Aid's resources for beginning farmers, and features case studies of successful new farmers. Registration Open for the 2013 Young Ag Leadership Conference (YALC) 9/12/2013: YALC is set to take place October 11-13 at Fairmont Hot Springs Resort.The YALC is a collaborative effort between nine of Montana’s agricultural organizations, offering attendees a chance to discuss current ag issues, take part in various workshops, meet with industry leaders and network with fellow young people who live Montana agriculture.
