The Northeast Organic Farming Association of New York is offering 75 full scholarships to beginning farmers who are interested in attending the 2011 NOFA-NY Winter Conference: Diggin’ Diversity!
Beginning Farmer Scholarships are awarded to beginning farmers who require financial assistance to pay for registration costs. These scholarships will cover the full cost of registration ($225 for NOFA-NY members, $300 for nonmembers), which includes breakfasts and lunches on all three days. If awarded a scholarship, applicants agree to contribute two hours of volunteer service at the winter conference as well as complete a post-conference evaluation.
The conference will be held at the Saratoga Hilton & City Center in Saratoga Springs Jan. 21-23.
Applications for scholarships, a full schedule of events, and further information are available online at www.nofanyconference.org.
For questions about scholarships, contact Matt Robinson: 585-271-1979 ext. 503, or conference@nofany.org.
