Sola Gratia Farm, LLC in Urbana, Illinois is hiring for a CSA Farm Manager Job, Full Time Start date: November 15, 2012; Salary: $32,000 (some allowance for benefits) POSITION DESCRIPTION: Sola Gratia Farm seeks a farmer to manage a three-acre Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) farm. Responsibilities will include: • developing a yearly organic fruit/vegetable crop rotation plan including cover crops; planting, weeding, watering, managing fertilizers, herbicides and insecticides and harvesting produce; expanding the Farmʼs production from three to four and ½ acres; advertising the farm and soliciting annual shareholders maintaining shareholder and client relationships; managing weekly distribution and pickup for shareholders and donated produce; overseeing work of volunteers, seasonal interns, and community outreach programs; working with farm board to develop responsible and realistic annual budget; developing a plan for direct sales of some of the production. POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

At least 2 years full-time experience working on a Community Supported Agriculture farm or vegetable farm in the Midwest. Preference given to candidates who can show expertise and experience in converting traditional farmland into organic vegetable production and ability in developing a yearly growing plan, managing budgeted money, and achieving shareholder goals in marketing.
