The Inn at Little Washington is seeking a farm apprentice for the 2013 season.

They are located in Washington, Virginia

This position begins May 1^st and runs until approximately October 1^st. (weather depending)

This position is on a small ½ acre market garden. The garden provides vegetables and fruit to a 5 star, 5 diamond restaurant, and is located on the property.  The garden is toured by guests daily and must be maintained in pristine condition.

Duties include, but are not limited to; weeding, harvesting, planting, greenhouse work, pest management, and irrigation. No experience necessary, but a willingness to learn, and interest in organic small scale agriculture is required. Must be able to lift 40 lbs., and work consistently in the heat. This is a paid position and housing is available.
