Western Wyoming Experienced Farm Couple Wanted for 2016

JCN Farms is located 45 miles south of Jackson Hole, in Star Valley Wyoming, gateway to the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone National Park.  They’re heading into their fourth year this coming season. They are committed to growing food naturally, community support and education. Their focus to date has been building the infrastructure for a budding farm, while providing produce for local restaurants, farmers markets and CSA programs. They grow everything as naturally as possible, incorporating many long proven techniques.

They’re actively pursuing a married couple to help run the farm for the 2016 season and are asking for a commitment of April 15th to October 15th 2016. Due to the obvious nature of farming, you must both be in good physical shape, able to lift at least 50 pounds and perform strenuous labor.

General requirements, including but not limited to:

Bending for extended periods of time, raking, shoveling, tilling and weeding, etc.

Some general construction knowledge and mechanical aptitude a must.

Must be a quick study with excellent communication skills.

The ability to identify and solve problems.

Motivated to work on your own and very goal oriented.

Willingness to learn as well as share your knowledge.

Some small farm animal experience, (chickens, goats, pigs, etc.).

Reliable transportation (licensed and properly insured).

And most importantly; possess a positive outlook and enjoy what you’re doing!

JCN Farms will provide living quarters for 2, with ample produce as well as financial compensation (based on experience)
