Vilicus Farms is recruiting a highly motivated individual, with a demonstrated desire to pursue farming as a profession, as an apprentice for the 2014 season.

Vilicus Farms is a first generation, organic, dryland crop farm located in northern Hill County, Montana. Established in 2009, Vilicus Farms grows a diverse array of heirloom and specialty grains, pulse, oilseed and broadleaf crops within a 5-year rotation on approximately 1,800 acres.

Vilicus Farms practices advanced land stewardship at a scale that matters. This professional development opportunity will be 6-8 months with a stipend of $1000/month. full room and board is provided. For the right candidates this first year apprenticeship could become a 3+ year opportunity leading to ownership of a new farm enterprise.
