Outback Farm and CSA is currently looking for a handy farmer (or farmers) with experience or interest in no-till permacultre to run the 15-25 family CSA and market-garden farm. Please contact us ASAP.
Our working farm is about 1.5 acres fenced in four plots (on 36 acres). We have a combination of living paths, mulched paths, wild buffers and no-till bed space built up in the last four years of growing annuals. The soil is generally clay-heavy but does vary. Coxing Kill creek runs at the bottom of property; a gravity-fed spring serves to irrigate some but not all of the plots. There is a hoop house, 10×10 compost heated greenhouse with germination station, multiple cold frames and other plastic polycarbonate structures.
On-farm, furnished residence is available.
