Job: Part Time Marketing Program Assistant, W. Pennsylvania

The Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture is currently hiring for a part-time position in the Western region POSITION: Western Program Assistant -- Marketing AVAILABILITY: June 2010 SUPERVISION: This employee will report to the Western Member Services Manager QUALIFICATIONS: •Undergraduate degree BA/BS strongly preferred •Demonstrated interest in and passion for the PASA cause and mission •Familiarity with Microsoft Suite and database systems; email proficiency •Highly organized, able to work independently, prioritize and complete multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain consistent attention to detail •Self-starter with strong interpersonal and communication skills; outgoing and professional •Excellent writing and analytical skills •Experience with grant application or management, strategic planning, event promotion or other organizational development skills a plus •Valid driver’s license

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY & DESCRIPTION: This position is approximately 20 hours per week to start, with potential to become a full-time position. The successful candidate will provide support to the Member Services Manager in a wide variety of ways. These include but are not limited to:
•Administrative support including correspondence via phone, fax and e-mail, bookkeeping and accounting tasks including grant funding tracking
•Management of PASA’s Western Region Buy Fresh Buy Local® program including website maintenance, e-newsletter publication and membership sales
•Participation in the design, implementation and follow-up of outreach events
•Providing a range of membership services
•Representing PASA at various events throughout the 19 counties of Western PA

RESIDENCY: Candidates living in Western Pennsylvania are preferred with attendance at PASA Western office in Gibsonia, PA expected.
COMPENSATION: Hourly wage according to qualifications and established policy
