Capital District Community Gardens www.cdcg.org , operates The Produce Project, an entrepreneurial job training program for High School students in Upstate New York. Under the Farmer’s supervision, students use high tunnels and other season extension techniques to grow organic vegetables and sell them to local restaurants through much of the year. Students receive food and monetary stipends for their participation.

The Farmer should have practical experience, organic preferred, in farm management from composting to market sales. The right candidate must be comfortable working with youth; past teaching or training experience necessary.
