Poultry Processing Workshop Group Summer Report

For those of you interested in chickens, and processing your own birds, this is From LocalFoodSystems.org:

Several folks attending the 3rd Annual Stinner Summit last Friday asked to review the report that summarized the conclusions of the Poultry Processing Working Group. The report was sent to the Ohio Department of Agriculture.

The report is available for review here [1].  Several members of the working group met several weeks ago (October 2009) with ODA representatives. ODA expressed their continued interest and support of the project. At this time they are reviewing some additional plans to work with the Department of Corrections to collaborate on a possible pilot project.
