Ohio research aims to battle greenhouse tomato pathogens (From The Grower)

EXCERPT: Researchers at the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center have received a $2 million U.S Department of Agriculture Specialty Crop Research Initiative grant to improve disease control and food safety in the country’s greenhouse tomato industry. Greenhouse production now accounts for about 40 percent of all fresh-market tomatoes sold in U.S. supermarkets, according to a Ohio State University news release.
