Rural Grant Program for Renewable Energy Projects

USDA has begun accepting grant applications for the Rural Energy for America Program (REAP). This competitive grant program is designed to support renewable energy projects such as solar arrays, wind turbines, and grain dryers. To be considered for Fiscal Year 2014 funds, applications must be received by your USDA Rural Development State Office by 4:30 p.m. Eastern time on the following dates:

  • July 7, 2014, for renewable energy system and energy efficiency improvement grant applications and combination grant and guaranteed loan applications

  • July 31, 2014, for renewable energy system and energy efficiency improvement guaranteed loan only applications, on a continuous basis.
