USDA to Buy More Bonus Foods

USDA has announced that, to assist American agriculture, it will buy an additional $82.6 million of meats and fruit this year.  The Department intends to purchase $50 million worth of pork, $18.6 million worth of apples, $12.2 million of tart cherries, and $1.8 million of dried plums.  The commodities will be channeled to school meal and emergency food programs administered through USDA.  For details, see THE LINK HERE
