Veteran Farmer Conference 2014

Farmer Veteran Coalition and the Drake University Agricultural Law Center are convening the first-ever National Stakeholders Conference.

The Farmer Veteran Coalition will host a first-of-its-kind national gathering for organizations that serve military veterans pursuing food, farming and agricultural careers,Nov. 14-15, at the Drake University Agricultural Law Center in Des Moines. The conference is in response to a growing interest by military veterans. The conference will be the first to convene local, state and national service providers in order to facilitate networking, partnering and educational opportunities. The conference is supported by the Farm Credit Council, National Farmers Union and American Farm Bureau.

This will be the first national forum on programs and services for veterans pursuing careers related to food and agriculture. All stakeholders from the agricultural and veteran communities are invited: non-profits, businesses, philanthropists, government agencies, trade associations, and educators.
