Winterberry farm in Belgrade Maine is Accepting Organic Farm Apprentices for 2016

Located in the heart of the Belgrade Lakes Region in Belgrade, Maine, Winterberry Farm is a small, diversified certified organic farm set on forty acres of open fields, pastures and woodland.

Only fifteen minutes from Augusta and Waterville, it boasts an 1870’s Victorian farmhouse, a shaker-built barn, lush gardens, and the Winterberry Farm Farmstore where we sell some of Maine’s finest all-natural and certified organic foods.

Our mission is to create a sense of community and belonging by offering our wholesome food and flowers with our neighbors and to restore old-fashioned values by inviting people to come and experience life the way it used to be, on our animal powered farm.

Our commitment to sustainable agriculture allows us to produce abundant food and flowers without depleting resources or polluting the environment.

Our certified organic food is produced specifically with families in mind, to ensure the health of our children and the land on which they are raised.

Winterberry Farm is accepting organic farm apprentices for 2016, a position is available for the season and as long as a year stay. we will accept a minimum stay of 3 months starting in may of 2016.

We are 40 acre protected Forever farm in the Belgrade Lakes area basically we are surrounding by lakes and hiking trails.

We have a 80 member csa, on farm farmstore and we are human, horse and oxen powered! we grow vegetables,cut flowers,wool from our sheep,chicken and turkeys for meat, hens for eggs.

You must be tolerant of the weather, willing to get up early and help each day. you must be of sound mind and body. please call or email for all the details and look us up on the web for photos and details of our farm and family.
