ABOUT STONE BARNS CENTER

Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture is a nonprofit organization on a mission to create a healthy and sustainable food system.

We are working to develop a culture of eating based on what farms need to grow to build healthy soil and a resilient ecosystem. In our quest to transform the way America eats and farms, we convene change makers, train farmers, educate food citizens and develop agroecological farming practices.

Our food system is on an unsustainable course: resource depletion, environmental degradation, epidemics of disease and obesity, food that doesn’t represent the true costs of its production. We are working to change the way America eats and farms by inspiring people, engaging leaders and the public, developing practices in resilient agriculture and driving choices that benefit human health and the environment. Join us!

Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
