How to Access Training and Support to Realize Your Farm Dreams: Free Webinar for Aspiring Farmers in the Chesapeake Bay Region – Tuesday, August 1, 1:00 – 2:00 pm

Dream of starting a farm, or interested in learning more about farming to improve your farming operation?

Whether you are just entering a farming career or an advanced farmer, Future Harvest’s Beginner Farmer Training Program has a level designed to help you achieve your farming dreams. Applications open in mid-August – learn more about the program and which level is right for you through these two upcoming information sessions!

Farming demands an unusual mix of craft, passion, and business savvy, all of which can feel intimidating when you’re new to farming. But there’s good news! Our Chesapeake region has a wealth of experienced, successful farmers who are committed to passing on their hard-earned lessons and teaching the next wave of farmers. We also have a rich network of agencies and organizations, like Future Harvest CASA, which provide support to new farmers. Sarah & Niamh will help you learn which of Future Harvest CASA’s three training levels might be best for you.

The Realize Your Farm Dreams webinar is hosted by the Chesapeake Foodshed Network. The Chesapeake Foodshed Network is made up of organizations, agencies, and individuals from across sectors and interests working throughout the Chesapeake watershed to build a stronger and more resilient food system.
