Oxbow Farm & Conservation Center inspires people to eat healthy, sustainably grown food and to steward our natural resources for future generations.

The Center is located on 230 acres of privately-owned land bordering the Snoqualmie River in western Washington. We use this land to grow food and native plants, to learn about nature and how we can protect it while benefiting from it, and to educate children and the general public about food, farming, and the environment

OXBOW FARM CREW POSITION OVERVIEW

Join our energetic Farm Production Crew for the home stretch of our 2017 season! You will have the opportunity to work within all aspects of our operation, including in the field, pack shed, and order delivery.  Your primary responsibilities will be harvesting, propagation house, hand-weeding, hoeing, transplanting, post-harvest handling, CSA packing, cleaning and deliveries.  We harvest, wash and pack product daily for our CSA program, wholesale, and restaurant accounts. Strong attention to detail and operating efficiently while performing time sensitive tasks in a rapidly changing environment are a must for this position.

Our operation functions at a very unique scale requiring a great deal of manual physical labor as well as sophisticated mechanization. This position will work under the direct supervision of the Assistant Farm Manager.

FALL FESTIVAL POSITION OVERVIEW

Fall Festival & Farm Stand Staff are responsible for creating a positive customer experience at “Oxtober,” our annual fall harvest festival and farm stand. Our popular pumpkin patch and farm stand will be open Thursday thru Sunday in Oxtober providing visitors with the opportunity to purchase a variety of vegetables, pumpkins, and native plants. On the weekends, we will have additional fall festival activities such as; Kids’ Farm Adventures, arts & crafts, hay rides, food trucks, beer & wine, and live music.

We are looking for 12-15 seasonal crew members to support our Oxtober Fall Festival, primarily on Saturdays & Sundays throughout the month of October. One – three of our seasonal crew members will have the opportunity to work additional days in the farm stand and pumpkin patch on Thursdays & Fridays.
