Virginia Association of Biological Farming's 2014 Summer Farm Tour Series - Intensive Vegetable Production & Pastured Poultry, Sunday July 13, 2014 1 – 4 pm

Glade Road Growing - Jason Pall and Sally Walker, Owners, Blacksburg, VA

Glade Road Growing is a successful start-up farm which farms on leased land within the town limits in Blacksburg, VA. Their focus is intensive, high organic matter vegetable production on less than 3 acres and raising 1,500 broilers of the Freedom Ranger Breed. They love sharing their farm model, both production and business management methods.

Admission to tour is $15.00 for all VABF members and $20.00 for non-members. (Attendees can join VABF at the farm tour site or at VABFarming.org) All proceeds benefit the work of VABF: educating about, advocating for, and promoting organic and biological farming and gardening.

Driving Directions: Take Exit 118B off of Interstate 81 to merge onto 460 West toward Blacksburg. Continue 10.2 miles. Exit onto St Rt 412N/Prices Fork Road. Continue straight onto Prices Fork Road. Turn Left onto Old Glade Road and continue for 0.2 miles. Turn Left onto Glade Road and continue for 1.4 miles, arriving at #2351.
