Agroecology Training in Thailand 2012-2013

MESA (Multinational Exchange for Sustainable Agriculture) offers a Certificate of International Training in Agroecology (CITA) for beginning farmers and agrarians. CITA is an integrated program that offers project-oriented education and community work experience in agriculture to equip you with the insight and experience needed to repair our global food system. MESA is proud to announce their newest CITA program... A three-month program in Thailand this winter (November 2nd, 2012-January 25th, 2013). The program begins with a two-week orientation including intensive Thai language training and an introduction to organic agro-forestry principles and practices at the Wanakaset Learning Center in Sanam Chai Khet. CITA participants (aka "Stewards") will then travel to meet their home-stay families, many of them MESA alumni, and begin nine weeks of hands-on training on their host farms. The program concludes with a three-day exit seminar and debrief at the Khao Kwan Foundation in Suphanburi. CITA Stewards will work directly with staff of Earth Net Foundation and the MESA alumni network. For information about application, cost, and scholarships click “read more”…
