Learn how to select a site, assemble a raised bed (we’re ordering kits from Growing Hope), build soil quality, and discuss plant selections for the fall and/or spring. We’ll bring some blankets to sit on, you’re encouraged to bring snacks to share. You’ll get a chance to meet others installing raised beds and/or participating as a worker/volunteer for the day (we understand that everyone won’t be able to install a bed in their yard).

Our local experts include Dan Bair, the Farmer at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Mike Levine and Erica Kempter from Nature and Nurture, LLC. They have well over over 15 years of organic farming and gardening experience amongst them!
