New Climate Change and Food System Innovation Hub from the Center for Environmental Farming Systems

The Center for Environmental Farming Systems (CEFS) believes all people deserve access to healthy soils, clean air, and clean water and that climate mitigation, adaptation, and resiliency are critical to ensuring a thriving and equitable food system. Climate change threatens agricultural production, natural resources, and food security, with a disproportionate impact on farmers and communities of color.
On Global Day of Climate Action, CEFS is excited to launch an online Climate Change and Food System Innovation Hub

On this website, you’ll find information about how CEFS initiatives and research programs are working to address climate change, specific strategies to increase the resiliency of farms and food systems, and a list of other organizations working on climate change in the food system.

CEFS conducts groundbreaking research to provide evidence-based solutions and resources for mitigating and adapting to climate change and strives to create a space where different groups and individuals can come together and share a vision for food and agriculture.

We hope this new Climate Change and Food System Innovation Hub will be useful for your own work to ensure a thriving and equitable food system now and in the future.

Follow us on social media to receive the latest updates and research findings as we continue our work to address the challenges posed by climate change.

The Center for Environmental Farming Systems is a partnership of North Carolina State University, North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, and the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.

CEFS develops and promotes just and equitable food and farming systems that conserve natural resources, strengthen communities, improve health outcomes, and provide economic opportunities in North Carolina and beyond.
