Conservation Sterwardship Program Signup Period Extended

Are you a farmer or private forestland owner who practices conservation?

This is the time to sign up for the Conservation Stewardship Program!

CSP is a green payments program where participants receive payments for existing conservation practices as well as new conservation practices during the five year contract. What’s unique about CSP is that all farmers – from CSA farms on a few acres to large grain farms – compete on a level playing field. Last year CSP payments averaged $6,800 per farm. January 21 is the deadline to file a brief application for CSP, and the next opportunity to enroll may not be for another year.
