Dairy apprentice and horticulture team member needed at Camino de Paz School and Farm in New Mexico, 2013 Camino de Paz School and Farm is a private Montessori middle school for grades 7 through 9 in Santa Cruz, New Mexico, just 23 miles north of Santa Fe.  The school is fully integrated with a working organic farm and goat dairy. The farm is structured as a teaching center for our students, the local community and the broader sustainable farming community. Dairy apprentice:

Live and work in rhythm with nature’s cycles and the seasons as you help birth and care for adorable baby goats.  You would be joining community of adults and youth while learning animal husbandry and care, milking and cheese making.   Job includes some work with horticulture (planting, harvesting, market prep, etc.). Must be willing to live on site, sell at farmers’ markets, and make commitment of at least 6 months.  Room and board plus weekly stipend.   Accepting applications immediately.

Horticulture Team Member:

Be a part of an intensive organic vegetable farm and orchard that sells at local farmers markets, food co-ops and to CSA members.  We need a community-minded farm worker for all aspects of growing, selling and delivering our products.  Applicant must have: two years of growing experience; commitment to work for at least  one year; ability to work with other team members and integrate with farm director; ability to be flexible and work independently; Spanish speaker a plus. Farm residence available.  Applications are being accepted immediately with start date of April.
