Small Farm Internship/Partnership in Ohio

farm internship/partnership

Small Farm Internship/Partnership for White’s Green Foundation/Sustainable Life Style living.

This rural Ohio three-acre farm operation has produced fruit, berry, fowl, nut, fish and vegetables for local farm markets and food banks.  As an active elderly couple, it appears the time is at hand to pass on or educate a like-minded passionate female (in-home residence) that will be able to follow her passion in this arena.  We are a little different due to our wide range of opportunity for doing your thing (financial support may be available for investing in a successful operation).

We hope to employ (in a salaried position) an individual between 25 to 45 years old, that has a solid educational or relevant experience in the farming arena.  Maybe this relationship (might be more like family then a labor/manager job) can expand in both knowledge and experience to be both rewarding and a life-long challenge and to be helpful to others in the area.  Our small farm internship/partnership participant  would be working with a retired engineer and green energy expert, and we are devoted organic growers.  The new, furnished basement apartment includes a garage parking spot, rent would include utilities and some of the best tasting strawberries, black berries and raspberries are free for the picking.

We would structure the position with the applicant’s needs in mind about compensation, educational interests (wife is a retired journalist/educator) and their passion for the best working and living environment.  The most successful individual would do “out-reach” in the community to offer their passion for the lifestyle they are living.  Income would be available for domestic hours worked for enhancing the home and property.

Individuals interested in the Small Farm Internship/Partnership can apply to leepatwhite@peoplepc.com, Lee and Pat White, 1434 Township Road 13, Jeromesville, Ohio 44840. We would require a resume, cover letter, date available, references and agree to a background check through web resources.  Due date for interested folks is January 31, 2019.
