Position: Farm Manager Job/ Gerente de Granja Trabajo, Gather New Haven
Status: Full-time, exempt, year-round

Come farm with us! Gather New Haven is hiring a full-time Farm Manager will coordinate food production and farming activities on 7 sites throughout New Haven. Responsibilities include crop planning and development of strategic priorities, annual operating goals and budgeting; general maintenance and care for the sites; production of food for the Farm Based Wellness program and weekly Farm Stand; and management of farm staff and volunteers. The Farm Manager also supervises and trains a group of Growing Entrepreneurs, high-schoolers working part time with Gather for 1-2 years, in aspects of food production and food business skills. Together with the teens and graduates of our Farm-Based Wellness Program, this position operates a weekly farm stand and facilities other opportunities for neighborhood access to the vegetables grown on site. This position requires a blend of agricultural, teaching/educational, and project management skills. A typical day in the height of harvest season will mean coordinating supplies, volunteers, staff across several properties, planting, harvesting, washing produce, and preparing for programs. The Farm Manager hires, trains and directly supervises 10-12 part time employees.

Pay: $45,000-50,000 per year
