Grants from Farm Aid in 2013

Farm Aid provides grants to IRS 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit (family farm and rural service) organizations that fulfill the goals of three different programs:

1) Helping Farmers Thrive; 2) Taking Action to Change the Food and Farm System; 3) Growing the Good Food Movement

For 27 years Farm Aid has been running programs and advocating for policies that help to keep family farmers on their land.

  1. Great website with wonderful resources. I noticed with the Farm Aid grant it is not awarded until December. Is this common to have such a delay in funding payment?

    • The short answer is yes. There just aren’t a lot of grants available these days and it takes organizations a long time to sort through the large pile of applications they get.
