Growing Power Presents: Growing Your Community Food System “From the Ground Up” Workshops – JANUARY 2015 – JUNE 2015 in Glendale, Wisconsin
From the Ground Up! Workshops are intensive, hands-on trainings offering diverse groups the opportunity to learn, plan, develop, operate, and sustain community food projects. Project participants leave the workshop with improved skills that they can take back into their communities and pass on to others. These workshops are for both rural and urban projects. Please be aware no video recordings are allowed.
Workshops topics – Participants may choose two of the following workshops to attend during the weekend: Composting and vermicompost; Hoophouse construction; Micro-green production; Mushroom Production; Project planning; Beekeeping (May & June, weather permitting); Aquaponics (pre-registration required, see details below)
2015 Two-day Weekend Workshops: January 10 & 11; February 21 & 22; March 21 & 22; April 11 & 12; May 2 & 3; June 13 & 14
Cost for the 2-Day Workshop: $400
The workshop price includes continental breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday and Sunday. Lodging is not included.

Scholarships are available for the workshop. Please fill out the 2015 GP Workshop Scholarship Application and email it to staff@growingpower.org.
