Rotary First Harvest’s Harvest Against Hunger is Hiring AmeriCorps VISTA Summer Associate for 2018 in Washington State

Interested in agriculture, food justice, or food waste? Want to make a difference serving as an AmeriCorps VISTA Summer Associate and increase the healthy food accessible to food insecure populations?

Serve with Rotary First Harvest’s Harvest Against Hunger (HAH) program to reduce food waste while alleviating hunger. Since 2009, HAH has placed over 115 AmeriCorps VISTA members with 45 host site organizations, to engage with over 25,000 volunteers, and recover over 5 million pounds of fresh healthy produce for families in need across the country. We prioritize local candidates (WA state residents) and early applicants; please apply before May 15.

Note: These are not regular salaried positions. AmeriCorps VISTA members serve their country for a summer by volunteering. Compensation includes a living allowance paid biweekly that matches the poverty rate of the county they are placed in and upon successful completion of service term, an education award of $1,252.
