Type: Temporary, Seasonal, Full-Time position, averaging 40 hours per week for thirty-one weeks
Compensation: $440 a week, workers' compensation, 5 paid days off a season.
Stearns Farm CSA, located on 5 acres of sandy bottom-land in Framingham, MA, is a 160 member CSA now in its 21st season. We are seeking an ASSISTANT GROWER to help with all aspects of farm operations. The candidate must be able to communicate clearly, be enthusiastic, model high quality work skills, and enjoy working with a diverse group of people. A valid driver's license and the ability to lift 50 pounds is required. This is a temporary, seasonal, full-time position, averaging 40 hours per week for thirty-one weeks, starting in April and ending in early November.
Compensation is $440 a week, workers’ compensation, 5 paid days off a season. Stearns Farm has created an environment that encourages the community to actively participate in all aspects of the farming process. It is a beautiful, peaceful haven including 4 acres of tillable land for vegetable production, as well as perennial berries, a flower garden, a children’s garden and culinary and herbal tea gardens.
