Michigan State University is hiring a full-time (40 hr/wk) position starting as soon as possible for a person to work with high tunnel fruit production. Duties will be to assist with high tunnel fruit projects in East Lansing and Benton Harbor, and include such tasks as plastic installation and venting, trellis construction, irrigation management, weeding and plot maintenance, data collection, and fruit harvest.  We are seeking an individual with practical farm skills and problem solving abilities, a general knowledge of farming and plant production, and ability to learn. The job may require overnight stays in Benton Harbor (lodging provided) and off-hour and weekend duties. This is a temporary position for an 8 month period with potential for continuation. Starting pay is $8-14 per hour, depending on qualifications.
