The New Entry Sustainable Farming Project has three jobs that they are looking to fill in Massachusetts.

Technical Assistance and Incubator Farm Site Coordinator: Help Small-Scale Beginning Farmers Establish Successful Businesses! We are seeking a creative, self-starter to provide technical assistance (TA) to beginning farmers on multiple aspects of crop production and farm enterprise development. Responsibilities include conducting farm business planning courses and other skills workshops in sustainable agriculture, providing technical assistance and managing progress towards farmer goals, and managing our incubator farms.  A Bachelor’s degree and agricultural training and experience in multiple aspects of farm management is essential.  The position is full-time, year- round and is based in Lowell, MA.  Click here for the full job description.

Produce Operations and Quality Coordinator: Help local farmers connect directly to customers by supervising our CSA operations! We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, high-energy candidate to supervise quality control and produce packing operations for our 400-member CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) program.  Responsibilities include supervising a team to pack CSA shares, working with farmers to assure quality control of produce delivered, picking up produce from nearby farms, and assisting in coordinating production schedules and processing farmer payments. A Bachelor’s degree and experience in produce handling and quality assessment is preferred. This is a seasonal, part-time position (12 – 19 hours/week) from June through November based at our farms in Dracut, MA (4 miles from downtown Lowell).  Click here for the full job description.

CSA Delivery Driver: Deliver Fresh, Locally-Grown Produce to Communities in the greater Boston Area! We are seeking a reliable, friendly, and energetic person to transport produce from our CSA packing and distribution site to greater Boston area drop-off locations. Candidates for this position must have good English language skills, a clean driving record, and previous experience working in a distribution center.  This is a seasonal, part-time position (13 – 17 hours/week) from June through November based at our farms in Dracut, MA (4 miles from downtown Lowell) with travel required throughout eastern Massachusetts.  Click here for the full job description.
