Cultivating Change Local Farms Grants Program – Applications Due December 15th, 2018

On October 1st, Greener Fields Together launched Cultivating Change, a grant program that gives local farms funds to upgrade infrastructure, invest in food safety, implement sustainable technology, and continue to grow food that nourishes America’s communities. Farmers can apply for this grant in four different categories (certifications, marketing, infrastructure, and capacity building) and have the opportunity to win up to $30,000 to put towards their projects.

Cultivating Change is now in its fourth year, and past winners have been able to accomplish a wide variety of projects with their grant money including: installing rainwater recycling systems, building a seed bank for crop preservation, and replacing wooden crates with plastic bins for better food safety practices. In its first three years Cultivating Change has funded over 30 projects!

Local Farms Grants: You can apply for a project of your choosing at https://cultivatingchange.org/ until December 15th, 2018.

All Greener Fields Together local farm partners are automatically eligible to compete in the peer review panel AND popular vote contest with an opportunity to win up to $30,000. Local farms that are not Greener Fields Together farm partners are eligible to compete in the popular vote contest if they meet these requirements and will have the opportunity to win up to $10,000
