Moon Valley Farm is Hiring a Farm Manager for the 2018 Season in Washington State

Compensation: 15+ hr average depending on experience, paid vacation, paid sick leave, paid medical benefits
employment type: full-time year round

Moon Valley’s “farmacy” is nestled in the majestic foothills of Washington’s Cascade mountains where our devout herbalists turn nature’s healing agents into truly efective and luxurious personal care products. We sustainably grow and harvest our own organic ingredients and process them while still fresh, to give you the purest, most indulgent body care products under the moon.

Moon Valley Farm is a small organic farm and apiary. We also have a small factory that processes our farm grown herbs into value added personal care products. We have a robust WWOOF program 15 to 30 young adults come through our farm every year. We also have a small apiary we produce honey honey comb and other hive products from. Our farm is located 30 minutes east of Bellingham.

Duties will include:

  • 40hr work week
  • Manage diverse organic farm all aspects
  • Manage employees
  • Manage green house duties
  • Irrigation duties
  • Maintain crops year round
  • Select and purchase seed
  • Plan farm for the year work with sales to create annual production needs
  • Maintain and nurture wild spaces
  • Maintain organic certification
  • Process all plant material for market or preserving
  • Pest management
  • Light equipment maintenance like changing fluids on tractors 
  • Manage small orchard

What we mostly need is a farmer who is happy managing people, hard working and well organized.
