National Farmers Union Convention 2021

national farmers union convention

Join us for the final session of the National Farmers Union Convention 2021!

Members, industry professionals, policymakers, and reporters will gather online for remarks from Congressional leadership and administration officials, awards ceremonies, and the organization’s signature grassroots policy adoption process.

Held on Monday, March 1st and Tuesday, March 2nd, the concluding session wraps up a month-long virtual event – the first National Farmers Union Convention to be held fully online. The more than 500 family farmers and ranchers who have registered have had the opportunity to attend their choice of ten educational sessions on the issues that matter most to them, including climate change, mental health, corporate consolidation in the agricultural industry, cooperative development, and racial equity. No worries if you weren’t able to attend these sessions live – recordings of all webinars can be viewed on NFU’s YouTube channel.

NFU represents family farmers, fishers and ranchers across the country, with formally organized divisions in 33 states. The key to the success and credibility of the organization has been Farmers Union’s grassroots structure in which policy positions are initiated locally. The policy process includes the presentation of resolutions by individuals, followed by possible adoption of the resolutions at the local, state and national levels. Members and staff of the Farmers Union advocate these policy positions nationwide.
