Pyramid Farms Hiring Farmworker in CA

 

Pyramid Farms is hiring a full time year round farm worker to join our highly productive team. The position is full time year round with wage starting at $11/hr and also has free on farm housing in individual trailers. Position starts Nov 25, 2018 and runs thru Feb 15, 2020.

We have 8.5 acres of vegetable cultivation for sales at Farmers Markets, Local and Regional Wholesale, and Restaurants. We also produce flowers and eggs for sale at farmers market. And have a small goat milk herd share.

Your living space is a one of our individual travel trailers  which are fully equipped, with bathroom, kitchen, heating and cooling. We also have a very nice outdoor shower bathroom communal bathroom to wash off the dirt at the end of your day. There is also a very nice outdoor kitchen and leisure space.

Farmworker Duties include: planting, transplanting, thinning crops, irrigation, preparing for planting, weeding, mowing, spraying, crop care,harvest, washing, packing, setup/take down at market, selling at market, wholesale delivery, field cleanup, farm cleanup-maintenance, animal feeding, egg gathering, milking goats, helping at farm events.

Work hours and days per week vary according to season.   Occasionally you’ll need to be on call for irrigation duties before/ after normal working hours.
Must be prepared to work in all kinds of weather
Must be able to lift 50#,
Must be able to enjoy eating super tasty vegetables
duties can also include 1 day early delivery- departing farm at 5am

All crew will have responsibility cleaning, mowing, weeding, care for your communal living area and area surrounding trailers, which is unpaid and considered
care of your personal living space.
