From The Hagstrom Report (for a free trial subscription click HERE) Senate Agriculture ranking member Pat Roberts, R-Kansas, announced today that Mike Seyfert, his legislative director since 2005 and an aide for 14 years, will be minority staff director of the Agriculture committee. The Republican caucus elected Roberts the new ranking member on the committee Tuesday. Syfert is a native of Ada, Kansas. Roberts announced three other committee staff appointments:

Joel Leftwich, a former aide in his personal Senate office who has been working for DuPont in its Washington government affairs office, will be deputy staff director.
Anne Hazlett, who has been the committee’s minority chief counsel under former ranking member Saxby Chambliss, R-Ga., will remain in that position. Hazlett is a former director of agriculture in Indiana.
Sarah Little, who has been Roberts’ spokeswoman in his personal office and in his duties on the Intelligence Committee, will become Republican communications director for the Agriculture committee.
