Siena Farm Hiring Several Position for 2012 Season, Boston-area

Siena Farms is a 50-acre market farm growing specialty produce for Boston-area farmers’ markets, restaurants, our micro urban farm store, and a 500-member CSA community. 2012 Positions available:

Farm Co-Manager (year-round): This person will bring 10+ years of vegetable farming experience to Siena Farms and join our management team in continuing to grow, diversify, and economize our vegetable production.

Assistant Farm Manager (year-round): This person will bring 5+ years of vegetable farming experience to Siena Farms, including experience at or close to our current scale of fifty acres.

Assistant Harvest Manager (Seasonal, May through Thanksgiving): This person will bring a perfectionist work ethic and strong team-building skills to work with our Harvest Manager in leading our daily harvests.  Previous farming experience of 3-5 years preferred but not required.

Assistant Farm Store Manager (year-round): This person will bring a retail and/or customer service background to help manage and develop Siena Farms South End, our new micro farm store in Boston.  Previous farming experience preferred but not required.

Farm Handyperson and Equipment Operator (year-round): This person will bring equipment repair, maintenance, and operation experience to Siena Farms, as well as basic carpentry skills, general handiness, and problem-solving skills. Previous farming experience preferred but not required.

Farm Crew Members (Seasonal): For our Summer Farm Crew (May through August) and our Autumn Harvest Crew (August through Thanksgiving) positions, we are seeking extremely reliable, hard-working, fun-loving individuals who have a passion for working outdoors and for gaining farm production, harvesting, and direct marketing skills.  Previous farming experience preferred but not required.
