Event to Support the National Ag Science Center on May 13th

The National Ag Science Center (NASC) is hosting its 3rd Annual Golf Tournament on Monday, May 13th, 2019 at the Oakdale Golf & Country Club. The tournament will kick off at 10 AM with a shotgun scramble. Lunch, carts, beverages, and on-course snacks are all included in the day. NASC are anticipating 144 golfers on the links this year. Last year the event was enthusiastically received and we anticipate another spectacular day as we tee-off to support our ag education programs.

We are currently seeking golfers and sponsors for the tournament to support the National Ag Science Center. We respectfully request your support of this event. This event is to support the free agricultural education programs we provide for students in the Central Valley.

Our 53′ mobile classroom goes to schools in Stanislaus and San Joaquin Counties. During our visit students participate in ag science activities, learn about sustainability and ag careers. We are honored to be able to share ag education with 20,000 students in the Central Valley each year – through the support of donors.

Philosophy: Rooted in one of the world’s most productive agricultural regions, California’s Central Valley, the NASC presents, creates, and engages students with innovative curriculum and events to connect our community with the food they eat.

Mission: To provide students with unique programs in agriculture and science – to promote positive educational experiences, an awareness of career connections and issues important to sustainable agriculture in California.

Vision: To serve the students by engaging them in thoughtful inquiry about ag and ag related industries. To create connections between the community and schools so students will have a better understanding of the opportunities available to them, retaining our best talent to continue to grow food for the world.
