Work starts early and shifts average 6 hours a day, sometimes longer. You need to be able to lift 30#, tolerate heat and sun, and work well with others. This is a great learning opportunity for people wanting to be organic farmers. Experience in farming or gardening a plus, but not required. Hourly pay based on profit sharing.

Help needed From May 1 through October 31, although some additional work is available before and after that time. Application period open until positions filled.

The farm is part of a non-religious, decentralized intentional community, in rural eastern Washington. Located on 160 acres of mostly wooded canyon land, we are off the grid and cell phones do not work here.

Housing for summer workers is provided in houses and a campsite available on a first come first serve basis. Couples and/or small groups & individuals who are self reliant, enjoy isolation from cities, and are willing to live in fairly primitive yet comfortable conditions are encouraged to apply. Permanent positions and housing are available after a trial period.

This is a beautiful, special and unusual place, and folks who are looking for a more simple way of life can thrive here. Folks who need all the excitement and convinces of city life will probably not like it here.
