Ramona, CA—March 25—Monthly San Diego New Farmers Guild Gathering
5-7.30pm at Mount Woodsen Acres
With potluck, farm tour, gopher trapping demo, music by Erin Bower and potluck!

Shelburne, VT—March 27—Farmer Yoga with the Vermont Young Farmers Coalition

Gunnison, CO—March 30—NYFC Water Bootcamp at WSCU Farm-to-Table Conference
2-5 p.m. at Western State Colorado University – Borick Hall Room 118
NYFC  presents a “Western Water Bootcamp” as part of the 5th Annual Western Farm-to-Table conference. Space limited. Please RSVP here. 

The Gunnison Water Bootcamp will convene local experts from NYFC, CSU Extension, Trout Unlimited, Upper Gunnison River Water Conservancy District, and Western State Colorado University School of Business to explore water law basics, the local cultural history of water, and conservation and implementation strategies in agriculture. This workshop is open to everyone — from backyard gardeners to experienced ranchers, to those simply wanting to learn more about water in the West. Carbondale, CO—April 4— NYFC Federal Credit Workshop
5pm at Wild Mountain Seeds
Workshop and panel discussion to follow at Carbondale Library: 320 Sopris Ave, Carbondale, CO. Hosted by the Roaring Fork Beginning Farmers and co-sponsored by the Rocky Mountain Farmers Union.

NYFC is partnering with the USDA’s Farm Service Agency (FSA) to increase awareness about federal loan programs that can benefit young farmers. These workshops across the U.S. feature a farm tour, a panel of farmers with experience getting FSA loans, a presentation by a local FSA loan officer, and a Q and A where you can ask about how these programs might work for you. For questions or further information, contact matt@youngfarmers.org.

Hutchinson, MN—April 8— NYFC Federal Credit Workshop
1 pm – Farm tour at York Farm with workshop and panel to follow onsite. Hosted by the Duluth Young Farmers Coalition. Stay for an informal mixer and pizza from their pizza oven!

Hotchkiss, CO—April 14—NYFC Water Bootcamp
12-4pm
This Bootcamp will feature Colorado Water Law expert Aaron Clay, among other local water administration experts, for a hands-on workshop and classroom event. This event is meant for all producers and will provide resources to help best identify land with water resources.  Location TBA. Co-sponsored by the Delta County Rocky Mountain Farmers Union. Upper Jay, NY—April 15— Farmer Potluck – ADK Farmer Coalition
6-10pm The Recovery Lounge; Junction of Route 9N & Springfield Road, Upper Jay, New York 12987.
Potluck gathering of area farmers to discuss what the ADK Farmers Coalition can do for us on a local, state, and federal level. Bring a dish and we’ll provide the drinks! The gathering is free, however, we will be accepting $25 membership fees if you want to be join the ADK Farmers Coalition/NYFC.

Salida, CO—April 21—Guidestone AgriSummit Conference

Westport, NY—April 25—NYFC Federal Credit Workshop
Farm tour at Juniper Hill Farm with workshop to follow at the Dogwood Bakery. Hosted by Adirondack Young Farmers

Sparta, GA—May 6—Middle Georgia Young Farmers Coalition Farmer Prom
7pm at Elm Street Gardens (15 Elm St. Sparta, GA 31087)
Get your sparkle overalls on, it’s time for a hoe-down! This year Farmer Prom will be hosted in the courtyard of Elm Street Gardens. Bring a tent if you want to spend the night! Bring a potluck dish and plate/ utensils for eating.

Jeffersonville, GA—Saturday, June 13th—NYFC Federal Credit Workshop
Farm tour at Rag and Frass farm with workshop and panel to follow nearby. Hosted by the Middle Georgia Young Farmers Coalition. Stay tuned for more details!
