Free Massachusetts Agritourism Workshop and 2018 Fall Harvest Celebration from Communities Involved in Sustainable Agriculture (CISA) – Massachusetts

CISA is hosting a free agritourism workshop at Warm Colors Apiary in South Deerfield. This is our third workshop in our series on bringing visitors to farms. Please share with anyone you think would benefit!

Thursday, September 26th – Bringing Visitors to the Farm Agritourism Workshop – Warm Colors Apiary

4PM – 2 South Mill River Road, South Deerfield MA

From the curious enthusiast to the serious beekeeper, Dan and Bonita Conlon have welcomed people to their farm for workshops and multi-day classes since the turn of the 21st century. Please join them for this free agritourism workshop to hear about how they coordinate and manage their educational programming and their annual Honey Festival (this will be its 16th year!).

Light refreshments will be provided. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Stevie Schafenacker at stevie@buylocalfood.org. Thanks!

CISA Fall Harvest Celebration – September 20th 6-9:00 pm

CISA is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization. We began this work 25 years ago, and thousands of people in our region have contributed to our success and impact. More than 250 farms participate in our programs, and the number of residents who are committed to supporting local agriculture grows every day. Our Be a Local Hero, Buy Locally Grown® program, the longest-running agricultural buy-local campaign in the country, connects farmers and the community, improving farm business viability and enhancing the quality of life for residents across the region. Additional CISA programs include Senior FarmShare, technical assistance for farms and food businesses, and research and support for local food and farm businesses of all kinds, including processors, distributors, and producers of value-added products like jams, cheeses, and pickles.
