Oz Farm Apprenticeships

Oz Farm Apprenticeships for 2020 in Northern California

Oz Farm is an organic farm in Point Arena, Mendocino County, Ca. For over 20 years we have provided local markets, restaurants and CSA members with organic vegetables and apples. With the Oz Farm Apprenticeships we offer training to aspiring farmers in the tools and techniques of organic agriculture. We also host retreats and weddings.

Bordered with redwood forest, and with the Garcia River running through its 240 acres, Oz Farm is blessed with tranquility, fresh air and clear water. Oz is ‘off-the-grid’, using solar and wind power for all its operations. For over 50 years, Oz has changed and grown from a commune to an organic farm and retreat facility. The farm changed ownership in March of 2015 which has brought new life, fresh energy and a passion to grow not only as a business but as a community too! One of Oz Farm’s core missions is to educate and train a new generation of sustainable farmers. Our apprenticeship program provides space for humans to live healthier lives while contributing to our local food system.

The Mendocino coast has many sleepy beach towns and unpopulated beaches, world class waves, diving, and great hiking. Although the town of Point Arena is small, the community its self is large and thriving!
