Righteous Rebels Farms Internship in North Carolina – 2020

Righteous Rebels Farms is located in Franklin North Carolina. Although we are not yet certified, everything that is done/produced on the farm is done so using organic practices that are not only sustainable but also regenerative. We have a market garden where we grow seasonal vegetables as well as a pastured poultry operation where we raise chickens for both eggs and meat.

Our ideal applicant is someone who is excited to learn and passionate about opportunities to shift the structure of the agriculture system. They will be expected to work about two hours of work on the average day although there will be intermittent days of work that will require longer hours (for example the days we process chickens). Although you will have some daily chores that will be more or less the same each day there will be a variety tasks that will be assigned on a less regular basis.

We will pay $50 a week in exchange for your help as well as offer free housing in a spare bedroom in the house. We hope that we have a lot to offer in the form of education as we will take the time to train and
teach you every in and out of our operation. You will learn and have hands on experience with rotational grazing practices, marketing, processing chickens, Seeding vegetables, weeding, harvesting vegetables,
packaging ect. There will also be on going construction projects to further build infrastructure on the farm that will not require your precipitation but will be further opportunities to learn if it is something you may be interested in. If we find a good fit there are opportunities to grow into a more permanent/ higher paying position. We will be flexible with the work we ask of you to accommodate other arrangements you may want make (for example other forms of income)
