Seasonal Farm Worker Jobs at Rent’s Due Ranch Jobs in Stanwood for the 2021 Season

Rent’s Due Ranch is a 60 acre organic farm located in Stanwood, WA. We’re a dual-specialty kind of farm; we spend the first half of the year propagating organic vegetable and flower starts for resale in the greater Seattle area, and the remainder of the year we grow staple vegetable crops for a sustainable, regional grocery chain.

Seasonal Farm Worker Jobs

We’re looking for seasonal employees who enjoy farming as much as we do, especially those who are interested in learning the trade. The job requirements change seasonally so we’re looking for flexible and versatile individuals who can be an integral part of the season’s evolution. During the Winter and Spring we’re in the greenhouses starting seedlings, potting up herbs and bare root strawberries, and tagging plant orders. Once the earth becomes workable in the Spring we move into the fields where we transplant starts, hand weed, and harvest as the crops mature. We grow a large volume of kale, brassicas, squash among other crops. Most of our current farmers are long standing employees that know the in’s and out’s of each task, and after nearly 40 years in business, we’d like to think that we’re a well oiled machine.

Rent’s Due Ranch Job Requirements:

  • Experience is not necessary, but an earnest interest in organic farming is highly regarded.
  • Full time availability is highly preferred.
  • Ability to stand for long hours, bend and lift between 40 and 50 pounds.
  • We’ll prioritize candidates who can commit to working March through the beginning of November.

We do not offer housing or official transportation, but we’re a convenient mile from downtown Stanwood and rides can be arranged depending on the circumstances. Pay is negotiable depending on experience and can be reevaluated as the season progresses. There is also potential for someone with farm experience to move into a management position.
