Field Crew Positions in Washington

Midori Farm in Quilcene, Washington is looking for motivated, experienced individuals to join our team as Field Crew for the 2021 season and beyond.  Field crew work with Production lead and farm owners to grow, harvest and sell 12 acres of vegetables, and some small fruits.  This includes, planting, hoeing, hand weeding, using row cover, irrigation work, record keeping, property maintenance (mowing and weed whacking), harvesting, washing produce and possibly selling at farmers markets.  

Successful Candidates Will:

  • Have minimum 1 year farming experience on a production scale farm. 
  • Have a strong interest in organic farming systems, a love of vegetables and enjoy hard work. 
  • Be self-motivated problem solvers.
  • Enjoy moving quickly and hustling to get the jobs done in a timely manner.     
  • Be detail oriented with keen observational skills.
  • Be a team player, willing to do what ever tasks need to be done. 
  • Be flexible with ever changing priorities
  • Be positive, calm, honest and kind.  
  • Have adult communication skills, and a good sense of humor.
  • Be able to perform repetitive physical tasks in all types of weather for long periods of time (including kneeling and bending over for long periods of time), while maintaining a positive attitude.   
  • Be able to lift 50 pounds repeatedly.

Opportunities for leadership roles exist for motivated team members.  Starting pay is $13.75 per hour with a 40 hour,  5 day work week.  This is a seasonal position from Late March – late November with possible part time winter hours.  Rustic housing may be available.
