Apple Leaf is not hiring for an IPM Field Scout Job in the 2018 season – New York State

We are a local horticultural consulting firm that specializes in Integrated Pest Management (IPM) for tree fruit.

IPM Field Scout Job

We are currently looking for energetic, intelligent, responsible, and (preferably) experienced seasonal field scouts and technicians for the 2018 growing season (starts mid-April).

Principal responsibilities include: scouting apple and tree fruit orchards for common insect and disease pests, generating observation-based field reports, and effectively communicating with growers and immediate supervisor. There is some orientation and technical self-learning required to familiarize yourself with the principle pests of apple and tree fruit orchards before you start work.
