1st Stop: Triple H Farms

Triple H Farms is Howard and Mary Jo Straub’s 140-acre dairy established in 1971 which uses innovative rotational grazing techniques to promote environmental, economic, and animal health.

2nd Stop: AppleSchram Orchard
2:45 p.m. 1300 Mt Hope Hwy
Charlotte, MI 48813
AppleSchram Orchard is Jane Bush’s diverse farm, which produces apples and pears, vegetables, honey, and meat products, and is a model for progressive, value-added marketing strategies.

Each farm tour will last approximately 1-2 hours, and you are welcome to join us for either or both. There is no cost to attend, but you must RSVP to register.

If you’d like the carpool, the group will be leaving at 12 p.m. sharp from the MIFFS Office, located on Michigan State University’s campus at 172 Natural Resources, East Lansing, MI 48824. Those who would prefer to drive on their own can meet at Triple H Farms at 12:30 p.m. or AppleSchram Orchard at 2:45 p.m.
